Public Awareness Work Group

The Public Awareness Work Group is organized to actively involve key media stakeholders from multiple broadcast stations and mediums in substance abuse prevention through awareness, education and social marketing campaigns. Work Group members review the media strategies of the Coalition and offer support and expertise to bring about changes in their community norms, attitudes and standards of conduct.

Goal
The CDFGC’s media campaign goals are to inform the public about the harm associated with drug use, convey a message of hope in changing the community’s situation and position the Coalition as a help, the premier regional prevention
resource.
