In The New Know, futurist Thornton May lays out how important analytics has become. After extensive interviews with Chief Information Officers and analysts from a lot of Global 1000 companies, May asserts that with all the mountains of instant information available, there is no excuse not to know. Non-profits and community organizations are no exception. The Coalition's Student Drug Use Survey has always set a national example for collecting data on underage drug and alcohol and is a rich source for information about our community. In July of 2009, the Coalition began working with Community Systems Group to implement an innovative community analytics system. |
The web-based evaluation system relies on the input of community data and coalition activity to keep a pulse on changing community standards and the coalition's diverse efforts in the region.
The Coalition is commited to "The New Know." With limited resources and a complex, multi-faceted problem, our community interventions must be targeted and based on knowledge - not a hunch.
